Community Training
We offer free awareness training to individuals and groups of people on financial matters to help people feel more confident in dealing with money matters such as household budgeting, banking, credit and consumer matters.
We provide a series of 2 hour courses that can be offered as either standalone or as a series. We are able to provide these courses free of charge which include free handouts, calculators, refreshments and payment towards child care costs.
Our Money Matters courses include:
• ‘Do you want it, do you need it? (Looking at the difference between wants and needs, thinking about what we buy and why)
• ‘Making every penny count' (Successful household budgeting)
• All about banking' (How to open and manage a bank account)
• ‘Clued up on credit' (How to open and manage a bank account successfully)
• ‘Claim it' (What benefits, if any, are you entitled to)
• ‘Confident Consumer' (What to do when things you buy go wrong, your rights explained)
• ‘Dealing with debt' (Managing a debt problem)
• ‘Home alone' (How to cope with independent living)
